CEI services for the replacement of a single span flat slab bridge and 48" RCP and watermain relocation on Canal Road and Black Road for the Polk Board of County Commisioners. The project was in the direct path of Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jeanne and suffered extensive damage after the project was bid and prior to the onset of construction. The project required an extensive by-pass pumping and dewatering effort by the contractor. The box culverts were constructed utilizing precast segments placed on cast-in-place footers to facilitate joining the segements and to provide grade control.
